i long for warmth in the sun.
i yearn for flight on water.
i hunger for rush in the wind.
i thirst for freedom in the breeze.

a different kind of busy-ness
i have been busy... well, busy eating and sleeping, that is.  i can't seem to get anything done or focus on anything for how many weeks already. thanks to this "all-day pregnancy sickness".... i don't even want to call it "morning sickness" 'cause mine lasts the whole day. i just wish it will finally fade away soon... so i can get back to my normal activities.

it's just so hard to be feeling tired all day round, feeling nauseous all the time, vomiting once or twice a day, and even after eating a full meal, your tummy still seems to be rumbling. *sigh*sigh* not to mention, i need to eat at least every one or two hours to lessen the nausea and vomiting... if anyone thinks eating your heart out is just heavenly.... duh, think again! this is getting to be torture.

going out of the house to do errands is an even bigger challenge, and i try to avoid driving too as much as i can. i don't think i can focus on driving when that urge to vomit suddenly strikes... not a good picture.

i am happy about this but i just wish this stage will be over soon.......

sketches

it's been a while since i did some sketches. i really need more practice. i feel rusty and stiff doodling around especially after so many years of no practice.

here are some that  i did recently, and been slowly trying to render digitally. actually, i'm still only rendering one of these for weeks now, and still have not finished it. gotta find more time...

positive
two home tests and a visit to the doctor finally confirmed that i'm positively on the way for baby number two. i guess that explains why i haven't been feeling well for more than a week already... and all the while i thought it was because of my acid reflux. although it's not really in our plans yet, we're still happy especially now that babyk's wish for a brother or sister has come true.

after milenyo

the howling rage of milenyo last sept. 28 was quite a frightening one despite the light of day. imagine if it was howling in the middle of the night. it left a lot of places with no electricity and no phone, ours included.

here's what milenyo did in our own backyard (or rather, frontyard). the stretch of our street was blocked with so many fallen trees and two collapsed meralco posts.

the photo above is the starapple tree in front of our house. it is (or was) located outside the wall of our frontyard, so it fell towards the street hitting the cables and blocking the way. because of its weight, the nearest meralco post (which is beside our garage gate) gave way and toppled to the ground as well (photo below).

after almost a week, we just had our electricity restored last night but still no dial tone.

slipping back to an old addiction

i've been sober for around fourteen years. now, i'm slipping back to an old addiction...

playing my guitar!

yes, that's a photo of my good old guitar given to me by my parents when i was in my senior year in high school. so it's basically sixteen or almost seventeen years old, but it's almost as good as new except for that small-torn-off-design-part...

my dad taught me the basics then i just practiced and explored further on my own 'til i could play just enough to sing my favorite tunes back then.

it's only been a little over a month since i started playing again. it was really more for our regular group meetings to put more soul and vivacity into the songs we sing.

now, i'm getting hooked again... furthermore, it has become a great stress reliever for me whenever i play. even hubby is trying to learn and (the best thing i guess) contemplating of buying a new and better one... hehe Wink

changing headers

as usual, i got bored with my header image... so i made a new one (again! so what else is new? i've been doin' this like for the hundredth time...)

i really couldn't think of any other real good theme for my header so i decided to create images to put in representing things i love to do... painting, windsurfing, playing my guitar (recently been rekindling an old passion for this old interest), creating vector art when i have time (the middle image is a vector image of mwah - partial image that is), playing around on my computer, shopping (though i really can't do this often due to budget constraints), and taking photos (that's our camera up there)...

i wonder how long this one will last...
